Israel has become the most cyberattacked country in the world

Israel ranked first in the world in the number of claimed hacker DDoS attacks in the first half of 2026. It accounted for about 17% of all registered attack claims. Government structures remained the main target of hacktivists, accounting for 37.2% of all claimed attacks.

Radware notes that hacker activity was directly dependent on geopolitical conflicts. In March 2026, amid reports of military events in the Middle East, the number of claimed attacks more than doubled compared to the previous month.

During the first six months of 2026, the number of DDoS attacks on web services increased by 110.6% compared to the same period last year. If the current pace continues, their number could grow by about 166% by the end of the year.

In parallel, the number of malicious requests to web applications and APIs more than doubled. According to Radware, more than 80% of vulnerabilities began to be exploited even before the official publication of the corresponding CVE identifiers. The authors of the report attribute the acceleration of cyberattacks, among other things, to the development of artificial intelligence, which allows for faster vulnerability detection and automation of malicious actions.
