Attack on Medina reported

The Saudi-led coalition announced that the Houthis attacked a power distribution station in Medina a few days ago. This facility provides electricity to the "Al-Masjid an-Nabawi" (Prophet's Mosque), one of the holiest sites in Islam. According to the coalition's statement, one transformer was disabled as a result of the attack, but the power grid was not damaged.

The Saudi-led coalition stated that an investigation of the drone debris confirmed the Houthis' involvement in Tuesday's attack.

However, the Houthis denied the allegations of carrying out such an attack. "This is another lie invented by Saudi Arabia to cover up its failure to substantiate its previous accusation that the Houthis targeted holy Mecca," said a denial released by a Houthi-affiliated agency.

Saudi Arabia said two weeks ago that a Houthi drone was shot down south of Mecca before it could enter the restricted airspace over the city.

Later, the Houthis reported that Saudi strikes were carried out on the Yemeni capital, Sana'a, and other areas.

According to the internationally recognized government of Yemen, coalition forces attacked "high-value targets" in the capital, Sana'a, but no further details were provided.
