In which areas has the business climate improved in Uzbekistan?
According to the results of a survey conducted in the Republic of Karakalpakstan and Khorezm region in the second quarter of 2026, 65% of entrepreneurs reported that their business conditions had improved. This figure increased by 9 percentage points compared to the same quarter of 2025.
The share of entrepreneurs who noted an improvement in the business climate increased significantly, especially in the construction, medical, financial and agricultural sectors.
The survey results indicated that the quality of banking services and opportunities for obtaining loans, the competitive environment and positive changes in obtaining licenses were the main factors affecting the business climate.
The share of entrepreneurs who reported an increase in fuel and energy consumption increased by 6 percentage points. Positive dynamics were also observed in the volume of orders - this indicator increased by 4 percentage points.
The share of respondents who reported an increase in production volumes increased by 7 percentage points compared to the same period last year. This indicates that positive changes in business activity are reflected in several indicators.
The survey also examined entrepreneurs' expectations for the next quarter regarding fuel and energy consumption, freight transportation, demand for additional labor, production and order volumes, as well as credit and debt payments.
81 percent of business representatives who participated in the survey expressed confidence that the country's economy and business environment will improve in the next three years. This indicator indicates that entrepreneurs have positive long-term economic expectations.
The data by region separately shows changes in business sentiment in the following sectors: communication and information, trade, consumer services, crafts, manufacturing, medicine, tourism, transportation services, agriculture, finance, construction and other sectors.
