Uzbekistan aims to increase the number of people playing tennis to 3,000

By 2030, Uzbekistan plans to increase the number of people regularly playing tennis to 3,000 and bring the number of coaches to 200. In addition, the country intends to enter the top 5 nations in Asia for the development of this sport.

To achieve these goals, starting October 1, 2026, a number of international and national competitions will be held in the country on a regular basis.

These include tournaments under the auspices of the ATP, WTA, and ITF, as well as the Uzbekistan Cup and the national championship among youth, juniors, and adults.

In addition, the international Uzbekistan Open tournament will be held for adult athletes, and the ATP Challenger series competitions will be organized for men.

A separate task outlined is the inclusion of tennis among promising sports disciplines.
