In Uzbekistan, the Committee for Veterinary Medicine and Livestock Development has ceased its operations

The Committee for Veterinary Medicine and Livestock Development of Uzbekistan has officially concluded its activities. Its functions have now been distributed between two new agencies.

Previously, in accordance with a presidential decree dated May 12, 2026, the Food Safety Committee and the Agency for Livestock and Pasture Development were established on the basis of the Committee for Veterinary Medicine and Livestock Development and the Agency for Plant Protection and Quarantine.

The new structures have become the legal successors to the former organizations regarding their respective functions, rights, and obligations, as well as contracts and international agreements.

Both agencies have already commenced their work and completed state registration.

In connection with this, the Committee for Veterinary Medicine and Livestock Development announced the complete cessation of its activities.

Now, for matters in this field, citizens and organizations should contact the Food Safety Committee or the Agency for Livestock and Pasture Development.
