Tashkent Summarizes Results of Utility System Preparation for Autumn-Winter Season
In the capital of Uzbekistan, the work on preparing Tashkent for the autumn-winter period and ensuring the uninterrupted functioning of the utility and energy infrastructure has been summarized.
During the large-scale campaign "Actual 40 Days," 2,000 kilometers of drainage networks were cleared of debris in the city, and 500,000 saplings of fruit and ornamental trees, as well as flowers, were planted.
Special attention was paid to the restoration and modernization of power grids in problematic areas. In 114 mahallas, where power supply disruptions had previously been recorded, new transformers were installed, and another 443 facilities were repaired. In addition, specialists replaced 600 kilometers of power transmission lines and repaired 2.5 thousand lighting poles.
Measures to curb illegal resource consumption and introduce energy-saving technologies yielded a noticeable economic result. In one month, the capital managed to save 11 million kilowatt-hours of electricity and 10 million cubic meters of natural gas. Losses in the electricity and gas networks decreased by almost 1%.
Responsible officials were instructed to continue systematic work to identify illegal structures and unauthorized connections to the networks, ensuring the rule of law.
At the meeting with the President of Uzbekistan, it was emphasized that the tasks reviewed using the example of the Almazar district are equally relevant for all districts of Tashkent, after which the reports of the khokims and relevant heads were heard.
