On October 4, short-term dust storm phenomena may occur in the city of Tashkent before the rain begins, warns the special commission established to improve the ecological situation in the city.

According to global weather models and Uzhydromet forecasts, humid air masses are expected to enter the capital's territory. For this reason, wind speeds may increase up to 3–8 m/s, and in some areas up to 10–14 m/s.

As a result of the strengthening wind, dust storms may rise in some places, and there is a possibility of a short-term increase in the concentration of dust particles in the atmospheric air, particularly PM10.

"Currently, the quality of atmospheric air is being constantly monitored by the special commission," the report says.

Earlier, Uzhydromet also reported that on October 3–5, cold and humid air would enter Uzbekistan, rain would fall, turning into snow in the mountains, and the wind would strengthen up to 22 m/s.

Fog is expected in some places.
