In Tashkent, a 41-year-old citizen was found to have been illegally involved in the turnover of a very large amount of crypto-assets, and a criminal case has been initiated against him.

It was established that the citizen, born in 1985 in the Kashkadarya region and residing in the city of Tashkent, without obtaining a license in accordance with the procedure established by the legislation of Uzbekistan, opened a special account on the Binance international crypto exchange via his mobile phone and conducted a total of about 700 crypto-asset purchase and sale transactions from 2021 to 2025. He was engaged in the illegal transfer and exchange of cryptocurrency with an initial value of 683 thousand US dollars, which is more than 9 billion soums.
