In Sergeli, entrepreneurs were left without electricity. HET explains this by stating that the builder did not complete the work to the end
Entrepreneurs who have started operating in the shops under the Sergeli elevated metro line are suffering from power outages. They state that they are facing difficulties in paying rent because their work has ground to a halt. "Hududiy Elektr Tarmoqlari" (Regional Power Grids) informed Kun.uz that the supply interruptions are due to the construction organization not having fully completed the work.

A number of entrepreneurs in Tashkent are suffering losses due to power outages. Those who contacted Kun.uz said they had started operating in new buildings constructed under the elevated metro line between the Sergeli and Yangihayot stations. However, the electricity problem has not been resolved for nearly two months.
"We rented a building under the metro. There is a problem with the 'light' here. The outages have not stopped for almost 2 months. People from the Sergeli district administration came and said they would solve the problem in a week. More than a month has passed, but there has been no change. We are paying rent for nothing, for lack of conditions. There is also a toilet problem," says an entrepreneur.
Another applicant complained that they cannot work in the evening when people go out, as the inside of the shops remains dark.
"There are many shops here. Everyone pays rent based on square meters. Personally, I have to pay 500 dollars. Currently, due to the lack of 'light', I am sitting and wondering where to get this money. We would be very happy if you could provide practical assistance," says the entrepreneur.
"When the construction company was building the shops, they were temporarily provided with electricity. In this case, the supply was carried out only for construction work. After the facilities are completed, the builder must hand them over to us in a ready state. That is, the builder must clarify how much electricity supply is needed and create the infrastructure. This work has not been done. We cannot provide them with electricity allocated for the population; the system will not withstand the extra load. There is also the problem of how and where to connect the wires. We need to discuss all of this with the construction company," the official comment says.
