In Saudi Arabia, a danger warning was issued in five cities amid Houthi attacks

In Saudi Arabia, a warning of potential danger was issued for the cities of Mecca, Jeddah, Taif, Yanbu, and Tabuk amid attacks by Yemen's "Ansar Allah" (Houthi) movement. This was announced by the General Directorate of Civil Defense of Saudi Arabia.

It was reported that on September 24, residents of these areas were urged to follow civil defense instructions to ensure the safety of themselves and their property, to stay away from crowded places, and to refrain from taking photos and videos. Later, the General Directorate of Civil Defense issued another statement announcing that the danger had passed.

At the same time, the spokesperson for the Saudi-led Arab Coalition, Brigadier General Turki al-Malki, announced on his page on the X social network that air defense forces had intercepted and destroyed six ballistic missiles launched by the Houthis.

According to Al-Malki, the attacks targeting the cities of Taif and Yanbu were repelled by air defense systems. He stated that the coalition would respond decisively to the Houthi strikes.

Hostilities between Yemeni government forces and the Iran-backed Houthi movement, which escalated in July, have intensified further recently. Claiming that they are under attack, the Houthis periodically launch strikes on Saudi Arabian territory using ballistic missiles and drones.

Amid the rising tension, Saudi Arabia's Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman called the US President several times to ask for help. United States President Donald Trump considered the possibility of striking the Houthis, but decided against it at the last minute.
