28-year-old driver dies in speed-related traffic accident in Fergana

A 28-year-old driver died as a result of a road traffic accident in the Furqat district of Fergana region, the regional Traffic Safety Inspectorate reports.

Driving a BMW at a speed of over 100 km/h on a road in the Furqat district, the driver lost control of the vehicle on a sharp curve. The car first hit a warning signpost, then a concrete barrier and a tree, before overturning.

According to a passenger in the car, at the moment of the first impact, he was thrown out through the windshield.

"When I opened my eyes and stood up, everything was covered in dust. I went up to the driver, he seemed physically intact, I checked his pulse, but there was no pulse. Excessive speed ends in death. You blink your eyes, and that's it," says the passenger who survived the accident.

It is reported that the man did not have a driver's license and had previously been held administratively liable for traffic violations.
