In China, a 6-year-old girl broke the world record for solving the Rubik's Cube (video)

A six-year-old Chinese girl has broken the women's world record for solving the Rubik's Cube. Her average time was 4.27 seconds, BBC writes.

"The six-year-old girl set a new women's world record with an average time of 4.27 seconds after solving the Rubik's Cube five times at the GraDUAL 3x3 IV 2026 competition held in Guangzhou, China," the report says.

According to the publication, Liang Yunzhi thus also broke her own previous record. She had previously set a record in Wuhan by solving the Rubik's Cube in an average of 4.52 seconds.

For comparison, among male competitors, the fastest person to solve the 3×3 Rubik's Cube based on the average of five attempts is also Chinese, Yiheng Wang. According to the World Cube Association, he set the world record with an average time of 3.51 seconds at a competition held in China in 2026.
