“I will rip out your soul, let alone your land” – Khokim of Piskent pressured farmers

Kun.uz received an audio recording from a meeting chaired by the khokim of Piskent district, Muzaffar Aripov. It is reported that during the meeting, which was also attended by women, the khokim insulted some of the farmers.

The meeting was dedicated to the issue of planting potatoes in the district. Muzaffar Aripov stood the farmers up according to a list and pressured them.

“Tomorrow, when I take away your land, I will see. I don't understand farmers, just do the task you were told once. In the end, they force me to take their land. Then they lie at my doorstep like a dog. They beg,” the khokim said.

He also told the farmers “not to joke, not to play around, and that let alone their land, he would rip out their souls.”

“There were several women there too. The khokim went too far, he insulted us to an unbearable degree. Now he is trying to take away the land of those who did not buy potatoes from that company, threatening them with the prosecutor. It has become completely impossible to work. Now we need to plant wheat, and he is obstructing that too,” one of the farmers who attended the meeting told Kun.uz.

Muzaffar Aripov used insulting words several times during the meeting. It is reported that the farmers were allowed into the hall only after their phones had been confiscated.

According to a Kun.uz source, this meeting was held on July 18 of this year regarding measures for planting secondary crops on lands cleared of wheat.

The 41-year-old Muzaffar Aripov has been leading the Piskent district since April 2024. Prior to this, he worked as the head of the Organizational-Personnel Group of the Tashkent regional khokimiyat.
