An Uzbek woman who was prevented from being prosecuted in Russia for a train with state symbols on it expressed gratitude to the president upon her return to Uzbekistan. The Migration Agency reported this.

According to the woman, she did not take the train with the intention of disrespect and did not expect the incident to turn out this way.

"Thank God. I thank my president a thousand times, I express my gratitude. Nothing will come to our country anyway. Thank you, everyone worked hard for me. May God be pleased with them. I was very worried, my children were young. I tell all foreigners to be careful, I want something like this not to be returned. Because I did not take it with bad intentions or disrespect. I did not even think that this would happen," she said.

During a raid in the Nizhny Novgorod region, police noticed a train with a Russian flag and coat of arms lying on the ground, and in this case, the issue of instituting a criminal case against the woman under the article "Insulting the state symbols of the Russian Federation" was being considered. As a result of cooperation between the Migration Agency, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and human rights institutions in Russia, the initiation of a criminal case in this case was refused.

"I left with the aim of earning a little money, buying a house. People from the migration service came to me, human rights defenders came. I am very grateful to those brothers," the woman said.

She was escorted to Samarkand by employees of the migration agency.

The agency recommended that citizens who find themselves in a difficult situation abroad contact the short number 1282 or the diplomatic missions of Uzbekistan.
