HUMO and Halyk Bank expand the use of HUMO cards in Kazakhstan
The national payment system HUMO, in partnership with Halyk Bank, is expanding the infrastructure for accepting HUMO cards in Kazakhstan. Now HUMO cardholders can not only pay for purchases through Halyk Bank payment terminals, but also use their cards in the bank's ATM network to withdraw cash while traveling throughout Kazakhstan.

Earlier, HUMO, Halyk Bank and Tenge Bank jointly launched the possibility of making payments with HUMO cards through Halyk Bank terminals in Kazakhstan. This allowed HUMO cardholders to make purchases directly by card, without the need to exchange currency or withdraw cash in advance. This service is available at all trade and service enterprises connected to the Halyk Bank acquiring network.
In order to further expand HUMO's activities in Kazakhstan, a visual navigation system was introduced. Now, company information materials are being placed at trade and service enterprises that help to quickly find points accepting payments with HUMO cards. The possibility of paying with HUMO cards is available at trade and service enterprises connected to the Halyk Bank acquiring network in all regions and cities of Kazakhstan. At the initial stage, branded materials appeared in the Turkestan region, the cities of Shymkent and Taraz.
HUMO representatives noted: “Our goal is to make the use of HUMO cards outside Uzbekistan as simple and familiar as within the country. Together with Halyk Bank, we are expanding the card acceptance infrastructure and creating understandable customer navigation so that users can quickly find points of sale where HUMO cards are accepted. As a result, travel will become more convenient, and the payment process will be as familiar and convenient as possible.”
The expansion of HUMO infrastructure in Kazakhstan goes beyond cashless payments: now HUMO cards are also accepted at the entire network of Halyk Bank ATMs. For holders of HUMO cards issued by any bank in Uzbekistan, this creates a single and convenient payment method while traveling: one card is enough to pay for everyday purchases, withdraw cash and check the card balance at Halyk Bank ATMs. The integration of payment terminals and ATMs makes the customer journey as simple and familiar as possible and expands the possibilities of using the national payment system of Uzbekistan outside the country. Ease of use and a single customer path are the main principles of further development of cooperation between HUMO and Halyk Bank.
