How much is spent on school uniforms and school supplies for one child?

**How much does it cost to prepare a child for school?**
With the start of the new school year just around the corner, preparations for school are in full swing in the capital's markets. Many are interested in how much money parents spend on average to prepare their child for school and what the prices of necessary school products are.
A journalist from "Daryo" investigated the situation at the school fair in Chorsu and the Chilonzor goods markets.
**"One child costs 600,000 to 1 million soums"**
The number of buyers at the school fair in the Chorsu market is noticeably higher. Some parents started their purchases a few days ago, while others are coming to the market as the school year approaches. The amount spent and calculations made by parents vary.
According to one buyer, "One child now costs about 1-1.5 million soums." Another parent with three children attending school said the total cost would be around 6 million soums. This amount includes not only school uniforms, but also bags, shoes, notebooks and other school supplies. Some parents are trying to reduce costs by using clothes and school supplies left over from the previous school year.
**"I set a goal of 600 thousand. Since the prices are good, it should be enough"**
Sellers say that demand for school supplies has increased, especially in recent days. The prices of products vary depending on the type and quality. It takes at least 200-300 thousand soums to collect the most necessary school supplies. However, if you choose more expensive options for each product, this amount will increase significantly.
"The prices in the market are much better. You can find clothes of different prices. You can buy according to your wallet. Buyers are also happy," says one of the sellers.
School uniforms make up the bulk of the cost. At the Chorsu market, shirts for boys are sold for 80,000 to 170,000 soums, while classic trousers are sold for 100,000 to 220,000 soums.
"A shirt starts at 80,000 soums. If it's made of better fabric, it costs 120,000 to 150,000, and some even go up to 170,000 soums. Trousers start at 100,000 soums and go up to 200,000 to 220,000 soums," says one of the sellers.
According to another seller, a skirt for girls starts at 75,000 soums, and a blouse starts at 65,000 soums. School shoes are priced from 180,000 to 250,000 soums, with better quality ones costing around 200,000 to 240,000 soums.
According to some sellers, it can cost up to 1.5 million soums to dress one student from head to toe for school.
In the Chilanzor market, school uniform prices also vary depending on the quality and type of product. Here, the cost of a uniform starts at 600,000 soums and increases depending on the buyer's choice.
