Hidden cinematic errors in "Troy": Achilles' vaccination scar and Paris' endless arrows

Wolfgang Petersen's 2004 historical action film Troy was a huge hit, lasting over three hours and wowing audiences with its massive sets, intense battle scenes and star-studded cast. While the film was a box office success, critics were divided on its dramatic quality.
Despite its high budget, the film is riddled with historical inaccuracies and errors. The costumes, in particular, were criticized for not being entirely appropriate for the period. Over time, viewers began to notice many more minor errors.
**Brad Pitt's vaccination scar**
The film's protagonist, the Myrmidon leader Achilles, was played by Brad Pitt, who was at the peak of his career at the time.
However, the vaccination scar on the actor's left shoulder is clearly visible in several scenes. For example, in the scene of the conversation with Briseis in the tent, this scar is hidden by a small cut, while in the episode where Achilles' body is burned, it disappears completely. It is assumed that a puppet resembling him was used instead of the actor in this scene.
Another mistake is related to Achilles' long hair. When he addresses his soldiers on a ship approaching the shore of Troy, his hair flutters in the opposite direction to the movement of the ship. In reality, ships could not move against the wind with the help of sails.
**Modern objects also appear in the frame**
In one of the scenes before landing on the shore of Troy, the Myrmidon Evdor is wearing historical armor, but the soles of his shoes can be seen to have deep treads, like modern shoes.
In the scene of landing on the shore, when another soldier falls from a bullet, his helmet and artificial hair fall off.
The shadows of lighting equipment and the shadow of the camera equipment are also visible several times throughout the film. For example, when Achilles and Hector are fighting, Hector loses his spear, and the shadow of the camera crane in the shape of the letter V is clearly visible on the sand.
**Weapon errors**
During one of the battles near the walls of Troy, as Hector is returning, a warrior carrying a sickle-shaped shield, characteristic of only Greek soldiers, appears on his path. Around him, several other warriors wearing Greek armor can also be seen. Perhaps the extras accidentally joined the wrong group.
There is also an error in the duel between Achilles and Hector. When Achilles breaks Hector's spear with his shield, the wood breaks unevenly. However, when the fragment of the spear is later stabbed into Hector, it appears to be cut perfectly straight.
**Paris' "Endless" Arrows**
At the end of the film, as Troy burns, Paris sees Achilles and Briseis and begins shooting at them.
Interestingly, in the first frame, he is only shown with three arrows in his quiver. Despite this, he shoots five arrows at Achilles, and then puts the sixth arrow in his bow. In addition, you can see that there are two more arrows left in the quiver.
This is considered one of the most famous and funny mistakes in "Troy".
