Gold production at NMMC decreased by 1.9%, while monetary output increased by 41.7%.

The Navoi Mining and Metallurgical Plant (NMMC) has published its financial and production results for the first half of 2026.

During this period, the company produced 1.508 million troy ounces of gold (46.9 tons), a 1.9% decrease compared to the same period last year, when it produced 1.537 million ounces.

Despite the decline in gold production, the value of its output increased significantly—from 60.8 trillion soums to 86.2 trillion soums, an increase of 41.7%.

The plant spent $236.8 million under its investment program, 7.9% more than the $219.5 million spent the previous year.

However, the number of jobs created decreased by 15.3%, from 1,190 to 1,008.

The volume of localized production increased by 6.8%, from 757.5 billion to 808.7 billion soums. Purchases through intersectoral industrial cooperation increased by 15.1%, from 3.63 trillion to 4.18 trillion soums.

NGMK also provided information on the progress of several major investment projects.

As part of the "Muruntau Quarry Development. Phase V, Stage II" project, the mine mined over 96 million cubic meters of rock from January to July. The company received new quarry trucks and other mining equipment. Construction of cyclic-flow conveyor lines and equipment installation continues.

The Kokpatas and Daugyztau mine development project continues, including the construction of a tailings dam for Hydrometallurgical Plant No. 3. In addition, electric excavators with a 10-cubic-meter bucket capacity, a motor grader, and front-end loaders were delivered to the Daugyztau and Vostochny mines.

At Hydrometallurgical Plant No. 7, NGMK continues to expand processing capacity. Construction and installation work has been completed in the ore preparation and screening areas. Construction of thickening and desorption facilities, as well as power supply networks, is ongoing. Plans include expanding the mechanical repair shop and reagent storage facility, as well as constructing the utility infrastructure.

At the plant's largest facility, Hydrometallurgical Plant No. 2, modernization of production facilities continues. With the launch of mill units #34 and #35, the total number of operating mills has reached 82. NMMC is also continuing the expansion and reconstruction of the GMZ-2 tailings dam, designed for the combined storage of waste from GMZ-2 and GMZ-7.

As a reminder, by the end of 2025, the Navoi Mining and Metallurgical Plant, Uzbekistan's largest company, increased gold production to 98.2 tons (up 2.1%), although the growth rate slowed. The volume of output in monetary terms increased by 44.4%.

NMMC accounts for approximately 20.2% of tax revenues in the budget of Uzbekistan.
