Germany's new ambassador has begun his tenure in Uzbekistan.
Matthias Vollert has taken up his post as German Ambassador to Uzbekistan and intends to continue strengthening bilateral relations.

The new head of the German diplomatic mission in Uzbekistan, Matthias Vollert, has officially assumed his duties. This information was released by the press service of the German embassy in the republic.
Vollert expressed his readiness to actively work to further deepen ties between Germany and Uzbekistan.
Prior to his appointment to Tashkent, from 2022 to 2026, he headed the department for the South Caucasus, Central Asia, and Eastern Partnership at the German Federal Foreign Office.
In this position, Matthias Vollert succeeds Manfred Huterer.
