Natural gas supplies will be temporarily shut off in two districts of Tashkent, Sergeli and Almazar, on August 22, 2026. According to the Hududgaz Poytaxt press service, this is due to repair work and the relocation of gas pipelines to a safe zone.
The gas outage in both districts is scheduled from 10:00 AM to 5:00 PM.
In the Sergeli district, the temporary restrictions will affect the Junariq gas distribution network. Eight apartment buildings, comprising 1,056 apartments, as well as two wholesale consumers, will be without natural gas on Junariq Street.
In the Almazar district, the outage will affect the Yoshlik gas distribution network. Residents of the Tansykbaev-1 (420 apartments) and Tansykbaev-2 (850 apartments) neighborhoods will be temporarily without gas. In addition, gas supply will be suspended to 15 wholesale consumers, including the Doka-khleb bakery and the Turkiston restaurant.
The work is necessary to relocate the high-pressure gas pipeline running over the Junaryk Canal, as well as the underground medium-pressure gas pipeline in the Tansykbaev-2 area, to a safe zone.
Once the repairs are completed, natural gas supply will be resumed.
