Former Israeli spy arrested in the United States

Former Israeli military intelligence officer Allison Alon has been arrested in the United States. She could face deportation.
U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) officers arrested Alon during a raid in Concord, New Hampshire. The agency called her a criminal and illegal immigrant from Israel in a statement, using her former name, Avishai.
Alon was convicted of kidnapping an acquaintance and other crimes and sentenced to prison. According to ICE, she committed crimes such as threatening with a weapon, kidnapping and drug possession.
She previously served in the 81st Division of the Israeli army. This unit is one of the most secretive structures of the Israeli Military Intelligence Directorate, specializing in the development of technology for special intelligence operations.
According to The Jerusalem Post, Alon transitioned after serving in the 81st Division and worked in senior positions as an engineer at Amazon and Microsoft.
**How did he kidnap his acquaintance?**
Alon was arrested in September 2024 for kidnapping a male acquaintance. He was suspected of spiking his friend’s drink. According to The Jerusalem Post, the idea to question the victim was suggested by another of Alon’s acquaintances, Brian Levy.
According to court documents, Alon had two loaded handguns at his home in Dover, New Hampshire. One of them was fitted with a silencer. Alon pointed one of the guns at the victim.
However, the incident came to light after police received a tip. Law enforcement officers arrived to investigate a report of a suspicious vehicle parked outside Alon’s home. They heard the victim screaming for help from inside the house and prevented the murder. ICE is now considering deporting him.
