First footage from the new adaptation of "Doctor Aybolit" has been released

First frames from the new adaptation of "Doctor Aybolit" have been presented

It is reported that the cartoon will be released in Russian theaters on May 13, 2027.

According to the plot, Aybolit heads to Africa, where he saves animals from a mysterious epidemic.

During the journey, the doctor meets pirate Barmaley's daughter — Leya, who is collecting animals for her private zoo.

The conversation with Aybolit changes the girl's attitude towards nature. Furthermore, Leya decides to reform her father as well.

The character of Aybolit appeared in the works of Korney Chukovsky, and his prototype is the character of Doctor Dolittle from the books of English writer Hugh Lofting. This story about the kind veterinarian has been adapted for the screen several times. Among its most famous adaptations are Soviet films such as the 1938 "Aybolit" and the 1984–1985 "Doctor Aybolit", as well as the film "Aybolit-66" shot in 1966.
