Fergana region is set to build a $300 million hospital in partnership with Saudi company Vision Invest.
During a working trip to Saudi Arabia, Fergana region governor Khayrullo Bozorov discussed the project with Juma Saleh Al Araimi, Vision Invest’s Chief Operating Officer.
The discussions centered on the project’s progress, preparations for construction and steps needed to keep implementation on schedule.
The hospital is planned to offer advanced medical treatment to patients from the Fergana, Andijan and Namangan regions, as well as from neighboring countries. It will bring together the regional branches of five specialized medical centers under one roof, forming a major specialized healthcare hub for the region.
The project also includes the creation of Fergana Plus, a medical education cluster to be based at the hospital. This initiative will combine medical training, scientific research and clinical practice, with the goal of preparing healthcare professionals, developing medical research and introducing innovative treatment methods.
Bozorov welcomed Vision Invest’s intention to invest in the Fergana region and highlighted the hospital’s significance for the development of local healthcare. The two sides also reviewed prospects for additional projects in cooperation with the company.
They stressed the importance of coordinating organizational and practical preparations to ensure the project moves forward as planned. The groundbreaking ceremony is set for December.
