Exclusive iPhone 18 Pro Max feature revealed

An exclusive feature for the iPhone 18 Pro Max has been revealed.

Insider Ice Universe reported on Weibo that the iPhone 18 Pro Max may feature a new camera feature that the 18 Pro model will not have.

This is about variable aperture. Initially, this camera feature was expected to be present on both models of the iPhone 18 Pro. However, according to recent information, this feature may only be available on the Pro Max version.

Previously, leaked internal documents from Apple partner Tata Electronics indicated that the iPhone 18 Pro Max would be equipped with a Sony IMX905 sensor that supports variable aperture. The documents did not provide information about the iPhone 18 Pro.

For example, in models from the iPhone 14 Pro to the iPhone 17 Pro, the main camera works with a constant aperture of f/1.78.

The variable aperture allows you to control the amount of light entering the camera. This could give the user greater control over the sharpness of the subject in the frame and the blurring of the background.

Apple has not officially confirmed this information yet.
