Esports World Cup 2026: Nodirbek Abdusattorov loses in quarterfinals

Nodirbek Abdusattorov has completed his participation in the 2026 World Championship in eSports, one of the largest online chess tournaments in the world.

The second grandmaster of Uzbekistan, who represented the NAVI (Natus Vincere) team, faced Denis Lazavik in the quarterfinals. The first four games were no-win. Then Lazavik won the Armageddon match and advanced to the next round.

The chess players competed in the "10+0" rapid format. The total prize fund of the tournament is 1.5 million US dollars, and the winner will receive a prize of 250 thousand dollars.

It should be noted that in the 2025 Esports World Cup, Nodirbek Abdusattorov took 5th place as part of the NAVI team and won a prize of 85 thousand US dollars. Javohir Sindorov, a representative of Team Vitality, who finished in the group stage that year, was awarded 50 thousand US dollars. He did not participate in this year's competition.
