Enzo Maresca broke Premier League record
Manchester City head coach Enzo Maresca has achieved a record result in the Premier League. He won his first seven matches after being appointed as the team's head coach.
This record was registered after a 3-2 victory over Ipswich Town in the 7th round of the Premier League. Maresca surpassed Josep Guardiola (City, 2016/17), Carlo Ancelotti (Chelsea, 2009/10), and Ole Gunnar Solskjaer (Manchester United, 2018/19), who had all won their first six matches.
The 46-year-old Maresca took charge of City in June, following Josep Guardiola's departure from the head coach position. He previously managed Chelsea, winning the Conference League (2024/25) and the Club World Cup (2025) with the team, but was dismissed in January.
After seven rounds, City leads the Premier League table with 21 points. Their closest pursuer, Arsenal, has 15 points.
