Dozens of people poisoned by fast food in Uchkuprik

In the Uchkuprik district of the Fergana region, 31 citizens suspected of food poisoning have been hospitalized. This was reported by the Food Safety Committee.

It is reported that on September 17–18, residents of the Uchkuprik district approached the district medical association with complaints of weakness, nausea, and diarrhea.

An initial epidemiological investigation revealed that those who sought medical attention had consumed food items such as hot dogs and non-burgers at one of the fast-food outlets located on Navruzshoh Street in the Uchkuprik district.

Doctors suspected food poisoning in the patients.

As of 17:00 on September 18, a total of 37 citizens had sought medical assistance, 31 of whom were hospitalized.

"Currently, patients are receiving medical assistance from qualified specialists. The epidemiological investigation into the situation is ongoing. Relevant samples have been taken from the suspected food products and the patients for testing and are being analyzed in appropriate laboratories," the report says.

The activities of the business entity have been temporarily suspended in accordance with the procedure established by law.
