Doniyor Qodirov left the Presidential Administration. He has now become the acting governor of the Syrdarya region
A new leader has been appointed to the Syrdarya region to replace Erkinjon Turdimov, who was promoted to the position of Minister of Education and Science. As Kun.uz clarified, Doniyor Qodirov has been tasked with exercising the duties of the regional khokim. Until now, he was serving as the head of the Department for Public Safety and the Rule of Law of the Presidential Administration.

Doniyor Baxtiyorovich Qodirov has been appointed acting khokim of the Syrdarya region.
In the new position, he replaced Erkinjon Turdimov – Turdimov, who had been heading the Syrdarya region since January 2025, was recently appointed First Deputy Prime Minister - Minister of Education and Science.
Doniyor Qodirov previously headed the Main Department for Ensuring Safety in Transport under the Ministry of Internal Affairs, and in 2018-2019, he served as the head of the Main Department for Combating Terrorism and Extremism under the Ministry of Internal Affairs.
In January 2021, he transferred to the position of Deputy Advisor to the President on issues of coordinating the activities of law enforcement and control bodies, and in August 2023, he was appointed Advisor in the same direction.
In July 2025, Doniyor Qodirov left the position of Presidential Advisor and until now had been working as the Head of the Department for Public Safety and Rule of Law of the Presidential Administration.
