'Do the right thing': Savannah Guthrie makes another plea to mom's kidnappers
The US journalist has made several social media pleas for the abductors of her mother Nancy abductors to share where she is.
US television personality Savannah Guthrie has issued another heartfelt plea to the abductors of her mother, Nancy, in a video shared on social media, imploring them to reveal her mother's whereabouts.
"I'm asking you, begging you, to do the right thing now," she stated. "Help us find her - tell us where to look for her."
Investigators suspect that Nancy Guthrie, last seen on January 31, was forcibly removed from her residence near Tucson, Arizona. However, they have not disclosed a potential motive or apprehended any suspects.
According to investigators, a ransom note received days after the 84-year-old's abduction from her home claimed she had died.
This was one of two ransom notes deemed credible, addressed to Nancy Guthrie's family and sent to news outlets shortly after her January kidnapping. US media, citing unnamed sources, reported that the first note demanded millions in Bitcoin for her release, while the second asserted her death.

In her most recent video, posted on Monday, Savannah Guthrie directly addressed the presumed kidnappers.
"It has been months since our mom was taken from us," Guthrie said.
"Our family is in agony. We are in a nightmare that will not end. Nothing about our situation has changed. We have done our part, and we will never stop looking for her. We will always ache for her and feel that hole in our hearts."
She added: "Help us bring this situation to an end. For all of us, no matter where we've been and what we've done, I believe there is always a way home. Please make the right choice."
The Pima County Sheriff's Department has refrained from commenting on the contents of any apparent ransom notes, but confirmed that their investigation "remains active and ongoing."
CBS, the BBC's US partner, and other news organizations reported that law enforcement had requested media outlets to withhold publishing details of any notes while they investigated Nancy Guthrie's disappearance.
The FBI and Pima County have dedicated months to investigating her mysterious abduction from her Arizona home.
Nancy Guthrie, who requires daily medication, vanished sometime after relatives dropped her off at her home on a January evening nearly six months ago. She subsequently failed to appear at a friend's house to watch a virtual Sunday church service the following morning.
Earlier this year, authorities released images of a masked and armed suspect who covered the front door camera at Nancy Guthrie's home before her disappearance.
An initial ransom note, sent the day after she went missing, demanded millions in Bitcoin for her release.
Investigators informed CBS that it contained specific details about her home, including her bedroom and the surrounding area.
Savannah Guthrie has stated that some ransom notes sent to the family were believed to be fake. She has also expressed that her mother may no longer be alive.
