The talented singer Dilnoz Hakimova, who won the hearts of fans with songs like “Daydi yorim”, “Saharlar”, and “Kechir”, turned 33 on September 11. On this occasion, today we take a look at the creative and life path of the singer, who balances family, raising a child, and creativity equally.

### “There are no artists or creative people in our family”

Dilnoz Hakimova was born in 1993 in the city of Quvasoy, Fergana region, into an intellectual family. Being the eldest child in the family, Dilnoza has two younger sisters.

— There are no artists or creative people in our family. Everyone in our family works in the military field. My mother is a major, my father is in internal affairs, my uncle, all of them are in this field. Since childhood, I loved music and dancing; Sevara Nazarxon's aunt taught me piano. When I sang and danced in kindergarten, they noticed that I had talent. Then they sent me to a music school, for which I thank my mother. Despite her busy work schedule, she always supported me by going to studios with me to record songs, says the singer.

### “Going to my grandparents' house was happiness for me”

— My childhood was very wonderful. Going to my grandparents' house was a world of joy. While everyone else played chess and checkers at home, we played backgammon. For this reason, I learned this game when I was still in the second grade. Not to brag, but I still play very well.

In my opinion, the truly great period of a young child's life is when they visit their grandparents and relatives and play, kicking up dust in the streets.

### “The person I miss the most is my grandfather”

— The people I will always miss the most are my grandfather and grandmother. Thanks to them, I lived truly happy moments of childhood. I was cherished and honored by them. In a word, I was my grandfather and grandmother's girl. After I mentioned this before, many people thought I was raised by my grandmother. But that is not the case. I grew up with my mother. We used to visit my grandmother during summer vacations and weekends, says the singer.

### The singer's words about her father

Dilnoz Hakimova has not spoken about her father in previous interviews. Although talking about this topic is not forbidden, she herself does not want to speak about it to many.

— Talking about my father is not forbidden. I just didn't want to talk about this topic before. Another aspect is that I don't like to disclose everything in my life. They say whatever happens at home does not go outside, and we were raised that way. Words that should not be said, that others do not need to know, have never gone outside our family. That is why I don't talk much about my father. My father is there, he is alive. He now lives in my grandfather's, that is, his father's house. I always thank them for my existence. It seems it had to be this way. I felt more fatherly love from my four uncles and my grandfather, says Dilnoz Hakimova.

### “Since I was little, I knew I would be a singer”

— It might sound strange, but since I was little, I wanted to be a singer. Since childhood, I dreamed of achieving something. Maybe this sounds like big talk, but I knew I would be an artist in the future. Back then, I used to say, “I will still be a great singer, I will be beautiful and perform on stages.” My self-confidence was that strong. That's why when some people achieve something, they say, “Oh, I didn't expect it,” but no matter how egoistic it may sound, I expected to become a singer.

### “Sardor Rahimxon gifted his song about father to me”

The singer received her initial musical education at a music school in 2003–2008, and at an art college in 2009–2011. Later, in 2014–2017, she studied opera singing at the State Conservatory of Uzbekistan.

In 2019, Dilnoz participated in a contest organized by former singer Sardor Rahimxon among his fans, singing the singer's song about father while lying on the back of a sofa. Her performance caused a lot of discussion at that time.

— I can point to Sardor Rahimxon as an artist of a master level. Because he is also a person who created with beautiful songs for many years. After I sang the singer's song about father in the challenge he organized, the artist himself told me he would gift his song to me. Back then, he indicated that I could also make a new music video for the song. “This song is yours now,” he said then. Usually, a person who teaches you a single letter is considered your teacher. A person who gives you a whole song and shows you the way must certainly be accepted as a teacher. I must say, I became known with this song by Sardor Rahimxon, she says.

Due to my demanding nature towards myself, I am also demanding towards other people. When I saw that those people did not suit me, I ended it beautifully on a good note. Until now, there are offers from producers, but they do not suit me, says Dilnoza Hakimova.

### “My real last name is not Hakimova”

She says that her last name in her passport is actually not Hakimova, but Ne’matullayeva, and when she later wanted to change it to her grandfather's name, she couldn't change it due to problems with documents.

— My last name is not Hakimova, many people think it is Hakimova, they write it, and they have even given me certificates of honor as Hakimova. I am known as Hakimova both on Instagram and in official places. Actually, my last name is Ne’matullayeva, I wanted to change it to my grandfather's name. Because there were problems with documents and I couldn't change it, I wrote Hakimova when I opened an account on Instagram. After the videos went viral, they still call me Hakimova. In my creative work, I am known by my name, Dilnoz.

Dilnoza Hakimova worked with Sardor Komilov (Sayyod) a few years ago and later stated that she realized she could not work with a producer.

— Now I don't have a producer, at that time I worked with Sardor Komilov (Sayyod). After I terminated the contract with them, work with a new producer was supposed to start. This was a decision agreed upon by both of us. After that, I started working with another producer, and that's when I realized I couldn't work with a producer. There is a bit of a lag in producing in Uzbekistan. It must be admitted, there is no school of producing in Uzbekistan. People don't know who a producer is, people have confused a sponsor with a producer.

A sponsor is not a producer, and a producer is not a sponsor. A sponsor is a person who invests money in your creativity, they do not interfere with your image, your choice of songs, or where you go. Sponsors call themselves producers, saying 'you will sing the song I say', 'I liked this kind of image, you will appear like this', 'we will shoot this part of your music video because I want it'. This is very wrong, because there is a big difference between a creative person and a person with money. There are people I acknowledge and respect, the producer of Shahzoda, Dilso‘z, everything works well for them. They know which singers this image suits, which singers' voices the songs suit. The guy who was my sponsor also called himself a producer and started to interfere.

### “I spent 10 years of my life to achieve fame”

— Most fans think I became a star with one song. Achieving fame took 10 years of my life. These years were a period of experience for me. I constantly analyzed how to present my songs to the public. “Is it better to release the song first and then the music video, or vice versa, does this image of mine suit this song, if this song is well received, what will I do tomorrow, can I rest now or no, no, if I rest, people will forget.

So, if I get lucky and my song becomes famous, I have to work even harder to stay in that place. Rising is easy, but staying there is difficult,” I thought deeply. If it weren't for experiences like this, it would have been very difficult. Because people who became stars with one song, unfortunately, disappear just as they became known. I have felt this myself. It took me 10 years to realize all of this.

### “Does singer Dilnoz listen to her heart?”

— I always listen to my heart. My heart seems to be smart too (laughs). But there were also days when I suffered because I listened to my heart and did not act intellectually. I don't want to speak openly about this, but it was about work. I didn't pay intellectual attention to the mistakes and wrongdoings of the people working with me, thinking they are the person next to me, a good person, they eat from the same table with me. However, not everyone who sits at the same table is your friend. Some are just hungry. Therefore, in such moments, I regretted listening to my heart more than my mind. Nowadays, I have come to the conclusion that one should work relying more on intellect, says the singer.

### “There were offers that did not align with my values”

— Sometimes there were also offers that did not align with my values. In my opinion, such offers are made to women in other fields too. Unfortunately, this is a reality. But what I am happy about is that even if it took 10 years, when I reached a certain level, I have no people around me to be ashamed of. I am not afraid, thinking, “What if such a rumor about me comes out tomorrow, what will I answer if they ask such a question when I go for an interview.” No one anywhere can boast and say, “I brought her to the stage.” And I have always thanked the people who helped, and this has been open and clear. To be honest, I am happy and proud of myself for these things, says Dilnoz Hakimova.

### “They wanted to give 10,000 euros”

— Recently, there were inappropriate offers from abroad too. My videos were flooded with foreign commentators. Many wrote comments from Iran and other countries. I think the offer came from there, my first and last name, and where I was being invited were written, saying, ‘we are inviting you for a commercial of a great hotel, the fee is 10,000 euros’. Your travel is all on us, even the place was written. At the point where I said we will check the issue and then talk, that's it, you will communicate with the administrator, they said, ‘no, there is personal information we need to ask from you directly’.

Then, I said okay, ask, and it is even strange to say this, they wrote without fear, ‘our boss liked you, they have a oil business in Uzbekistan’ and wrote his first and last name. ‘He wants to have a personal connection, a relationship with you, if this offer of ours suits you, let us know’, they said. I am not even surprised by this. I wrote, excuse me, I cannot accept this offer of yours. Then they said, ‘okay, we understand, but our offer to you remains in force, we want you to appear in a commercial that will be broadcast in several countries’. The important thing is not what they say, but how you conduct yourself, says the singer.

### “I don't want art to take over the whole part of my life”

— I have always tried not to show art as something that has taken over my whole life. Because it is still work, and I understood that it should not take over the whole part of my life. That's why I tried not to get too carried away with work. If I can't get back what I spent on my work, I might get depressed and lie down. I wanted my creativity to continue without stopping, both intellectually and spiritually, and thank God, it is continuing, she says.

### “They say, ‘sing without being coquettish’”

— We are women, and there is grace in our nature. It is better to be playful than to be rude, walking with a frown. We are not talking about vulgarity here, besides, this style remained in people's memory. True, the distance between grace and lack of culture is very short, some might overdo it. But I always try to keep the boundary. You can sing looking graceful even wearing a sack. In general, a happy person lives smiling and being playful.

### About the singer's personal life

The singer says she met her husband through social networks. According to her, her husband is a government employee and the world of art is foreign to him.

— I would never write to anyone. But my husband got lucky, and that day I replied to what they wrote. Now, it was impossible not to reply to what he wrote. He wrote, “Don't you want to say anything to me?”. After I wrote a single word, wondering who this is, if something happened, somehow, it was destiny and we got acquainted, she says.

On September 13, 2025, the lavish wedding night of singer Dilnoz Hakimova took place at the “Ezidyor” wedding hall in Tashkent. Many famous representatives of the Uzbek pop music, such as Jahongir Otajonov, Tohir Sodiqov, Shahriyor, Yorqinxo‘ja Umarov, Ziyoda, Shirin Zoitova, Izzat Shukurov, and several other artists and bloggers, were guests at the wedding.

— To be honest, no big changes occurred in my life after I got married. I must admit, a heavy burden did not fall on my shoulders after I started a family. Since we moved to a separate house after the wedding, I did not face difficulties like waking up early in the morning and preparing the table for everyone. If we lived in a strict family order, we would have to spend most of our time on household chores and looking after the family members.

Now, I only have to prepare food for my husband — I have this kind of ease. Unlike other brides, I don't have the obligation to wake up early and sweep the street. But on Saturdays and Sundays, we go to my parents-in-law's house and organize family days. Even when we go there, heavy work is not done; on the contrary, we sit and talk with loved ones, says the singer.

The singer became a mother for the first time on June 16, 2026, and named the baby girl Amani.
