Deputies heard a report on the privatization of state assets in Uzbekistan.

The Legislative Chamber reviewed the State Asset Management Agency's response to property privatization and business support measures.

Deputies of the Legislative Chamber of the Oliy Majlis of Uzbekistan heard a report on the progress of state asset privatization in the country. Director of the Agency for State Assets Management S. Murodov presented a response to a parliamentary inquiry, which was taken into account following the meeting.

The document emphasized that in recent years, Uzbekistan has demonstrated an annual increase in the scale of state asset privatization. The introduction of modern mechanisms consistent with international practice is contributing to a gradual reduction in the number of enterprises with state participation.

The Agency provided detailed information on the implementation of presidential decrees and resolutions on the management and privatization of state property, the implementation of privatization programs, and support for entrepreneurs in the sale of state assets.

According to the report, most of the assigned tasks for the sale of state assets and land, as well as for ensuring revenues, were successfully completed. The Agency provided detailed explanations for outstanding tasks.

The document also presented the results of the implementation of target indicators for 2025. Of the seven established indicators, six were met. However, the target for transferring funds received from the sale of state assets to the republican budget was not fully met. The reasons for this were outlined in the response to the parliamentary inquiry.

The Agency also reported on measures to support entrepreneurs in the sale of state assets and land, as well as in the leasing of state-owned properties. Benefits were applied to the sale of state-owned properties, shares, and stocks, the sale of non-agricultural land, and the leasing of state-owned properties.

During the discussion, deputies emphasized the need to further accelerate the privatization of state assets and increase the investment attractiveness of properties put up for auction. The importance of ensuring openness and transparency in their implementation processes was also discussed.

Furthermore, deputies made proposals for the efficient use of vacant state-owned properties and further simplifying the mechanisms for the sale of land and real estate for entrepreneurs.

Following the review, deputies noted that the response contained comprehensive information on the issues raised in the parliamentary inquiry and took it into consideration.
