Davr Bank celebrated its 25th anniversary by entering the international financial market
On September 29, the private joint-stock commercial bank Davr Bank, one of the stable participants in the banking system of Uzbekistan, turned 25 years old. On the eve of the anniversary, the bank reached a strategic agreement that opens a new chapter in its history: the joint project "ABB Davr" was launched with the participation of the Presidents of Uzbekistan and Azerbaijan.
On August 22, 2026, in Tashkent, within the framework of the IV Uzbekistan–Azerbaijan Interregional Forum, Abbas Ibrahimov, Chairman of the Management Board of the International Bank of Azerbaijan (ABB), and Lutfulla Ubayev, Founder and Chairman of the Supervisory Board of Davr Bank, signed an agreement on the acquisition of a controlling stake in Davr Bank.
The following day, on August 23, an official ceremony to launch the new "ABB Davr" banking project was held online with the participation of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev and the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev. Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev assessed this event as a successful entry of one of the country's leading banks into the Uzbek market.
According to the agreements, the bank will continue its activities in the Uzbek market under the "ABB Davr" brand. ABB, one of the leaders of the Azerbaijani financial sector, plans to bring a proven corporate governance system, digital solutions, and innovative projects based on artificial intelligence to Uzbekistan. Creating additional opportunities for the development of small and medium-sized businesses will be a key priority.
"Thanks to this agreement, we are bringing banking services to a qualitatively new level. The experience of our new partner, innovative technologies, and stable capital will allow Davr Bank to offer the most advanced financial products to customers in a short period of time. This partnership will guarantee even higher stability and a strong technological leap for the bank," noted Lutfulla Ubayev, Founder and Chairman of the Supervisory Board of Davr Bank.
In turn, Abbas Ibrahimov, Chairman of the Management Board of ABB, noted that starting a new strategic phase in brotherly Uzbekistan is a great honor for the bank, and expressed confidence that the project will become a reliable financial partner for the country's economy and business.
