Czech Company Explores Importing Frozen Fruit from Uzbekistan
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.uz) – According to the Dunyo News Agency, the Embassy of Uzbekistan recently hosted discussions with representatives from the Czech firm NEGOCIO s.r.o. These talks centered on increasing agricultural trade and facilitating the export of frozen Uzbek fruit to the European market.
A key point of discussion was the potential supply of Uzbek-produced goods utilizing Individually Quick Frozen (IQF) technology, a method that rapidly freezes each piece of fruit separately.
The Czech company conveyed its interest in importing various frozen fruits from Uzbekistan, specifically mentioning raspberries, apricots, plums, and other berries and fruits. The possibility of supplying processed fruit products to the Czech market was also explored.
During the meeting, participants assessed Uzbekistan's capacity for export, the adherence of its products to international quality standards, packaging specifications, and avenues for aligning production with European market demands.
Concluding the talks, both parties committed to arranging B2B meetings between NEGOCIO s.r.o. and Uzbek frozen fruit exporters, as well as to fostering ongoing direct business relationships.
