The official allegedly pledged to register the IMEI codes for ten iPhones, which had been illicitly imported into Uzbekistan, by utilizing the passport information of various individuals. A criminal investigation has been initiated under Article 210 of Uzbekistan's Criminal Code, pertaining to bribery. The inquiry remains active.
