Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.uz) – A new investment initiative is set to bring a transformer manufacturing plant to the Bagdad district of Ferghana Region, a collaborative effort with the Chinese enterprise Qingdao Junling Transformers.

This development was a key topic of discussion during a meeting between Ferghana Regional Governor Khayrullo Bozorov and a delegation of Chinese business leaders, headed by Ji Zhaoshang, the founder of Qingdao Junling Transformers.

The discussions centered on potential investment projects within the Ferghana Region. Ji Zhaoshang provided an overview of his company's operations and its expertise in transformer production, detailing their strategy for establishing the new manufacturing site.

The project is structured in two phases: initially, the facility will focus on assembly, utilizing imported raw materials and components. The subsequent phase aims to transition to a full-cycle production model, incorporating localized manufacturing.

Governor Bozorov highlighted the region's commitment to supporting foreign investors, noting the establishment of a dedicated center to facilitate investment projects. He assured the Chinese delegation that comprehensive practical assistance would be extended to every project.

The meeting concluded with an agreement to intensify collaboration and expedite the project's practical execution, marked by the signing of a memorandum of mutual cooperation.
