Before this duel, China (11 points, same as Armenia) was one of the closest pursuers of Uzbekistan (12 points).
Javokhir Sindarov drew his game with Wei Yi, and Mukhiddin Madaminov drew with Xu Xiangyu: 1:1.
In the decisive games, Nodirbek Abdusattorov defeated the 17th world champion Ding Liren, and Nodirbek Yakubboev beat Yu Yangyi. The final score was 3:1.
