Bunyodkor Must Pay Itsuki Urata at Least $328,000 – FIFA Decision
In the spring of this year, 29-year-old Japanese left-back Itsuki Urata left Tashkent club Bunyodkor. The club was said to be struggling financially. After that, Urata signed a one-year contract with Slaven Belupo and is continuing his career there.
Later, the Japanese player appealed to the FIFA Dispute Resolution Chamber. According to official documents reviewed by Kun.uz, the final decision on this labor dispute was made on August 13, 2026.
According to the document, Bunyodkor was required to pay the player the following amounts:
* $45,000 in unpaid wages;
* For every $15,000 of the above debt, an annual interest of 5% from February 6, March 6 and March 27, 2026 until full payment is made;
* A fine of $283,426 as compensation for breach of contract. In this case, an annual interest of 5% from March 27, 2026 until full payment is made.
If all the specified amounts and interest are not paid in full within 45 days after the announcement of the decision, serious sanctions will be applied to the club. In particular, Bunyodkor will be deprived of the right to register new players at the national and international levels until full payment is made. This ban will be valid for three consecutive full transfer windows. If payment is not made by the end of all three transfer windows, the case will be referred to the FIFA Disciplinary Committee.
