Tashkent's Bunyodkor football club has parted ways with its coaching staff. According to the club, head coach Ilyos Zeytullayev and his assistants Alessandro Spinolio, Andres Moauro and Marco Nicodemo have resigned of their own free will and by mutual agreement of the parties.
Ilyos Zeytullayev, in turn, said goodbye to Bunyodkor fans and players via social media. He wrote: "Everything has its time and place. I thank God for each person who has gone through this wonderful path with Bunyodkor football club. After all, each of you has left your mark on my life."
Zeytullayev started working at Bunyodkor in April 2024 as an assistant head coach. In the fall of this year, he began leading the team as head coach. According to him, when he joined the team, Bunyodkor was at the bottom of the standings, and the team finished the previous (2025) season in 5th place.
Before the 2026 season, the club lost its long-term sponsor and fell into serious financial problems. In recent months, financial difficulties have intensified. First, the club was banned from transferring by FIFA due to debts to its former player Rivaldo, and then suffered a technical defeat due to the inability to find funds to travel to an away match. After that, the club was allocated 5 billion soums. However, soon after, FIFA's decision regarding the debts of another former Bunyodkor legionnaire - Japanese player Itsuki Urata - became known.
The club is currently in 15th place in the Super League with 19 points, having lost 9 games in a row.
