Uzbekistan's boxers won three golds at an international tournament in Chita
The Uzbekistan national team achieved a result of three gold medals and one silver at the international Eurasian Dauria Cup tournament, which took place in Chita. Uzbek boxers confidently took first place in three weight categories at once.
The main heroes of the tournament were Bekkhon Abdullaev, Umarkhon Mirzakhanov, and Sarvar Mirzakulov. They won gold in the under-75, 81, and 92 kilogram categories, respectively.
Another medal — a silver — was brought to the team by Abdulloh Abdullaev. In the under-60 kilogram weight class, he reached the final but lost to his opponent in the decisive bout.
On their way to the medals, the Uzbek athletes faced boxers from Russia, Kazakhstan, Armenia, and other countries.
The international Eurasian Dauria Cup tournament was held in Chita as part of sports cooperation between the countries.
In addition, five boxers classified under Uzbekistan by the statistical portal BoxRec entered the top ten strongest amateurs in the world, regardless of weight category. The ranking was topped by Olympic champion Abdumalik Khalokov.
