Bodies of two climbers missing 34 years ago found in Switzerland

The bodies of two climbers who disappeared 34 years ago have been found in Switzerland, CBS News reported.
According to the police of the canton of Valais, the bodies of the two men were discovered by a tourist. They were found as a result of the melting of the Trift glacier. DNA analysis confirmed that the bodies belong to climbers who have been missing in the Weissmis area since 1992.
The deceased are Belgian citizens, and were 39 and 41 years old at the time of their disappearance. The cantonal police have been keeping a list of missing persons since 1925. This list mainly includes people who disappeared in high mountains or in bodies of water.
Police noted that "the remains of people who disappeared in the mountains several decades ago are sometimes found as a result of the melting of glaciers."
Switzerland has recorded its warmest July on record, with rivers and lakes running dry and glaciers melting faster than ever before.
Earlier, a dangerous operation was launched to retrieve the body of a climber known as "Green Boots," who had been trapped on Mount Everest for nearly 30 years. For nearly 10 years, his bright green boots have served as a landmark for climbers climbing Everest. Many climbers have radioed back to base camp after reaching this point to announce that they had reached the next stage.
