Assets of Uzbekistan's pawnshops increased by 50 percent in one year

Assets of Uzbekistan's Pawnshops Increased by 50 Percent in One Year

As of August 1, 2026, the total assets of Uzbekistan's pawnshops reached 937.7 billion soums. This figure is 50 percent higher compared to a year earlier. At that time, total assets stood at 625.7 billion soums. This was reported by the Central Bank.

Net loans, which constitute the main part of the sector's assets, increased from 513.4 billion soums to 692.7 billion soums, recording a 35 percent growth. At the same time, their share in total assets decreased from 82.0 percent to 73.9 percent.

Funds receivable from banks increased 4.1 times, rising from 19.2 billion soums to 79.5 billion soums. Other assets increased by 121 percent, amounting to 82.3 billion soums. Cash in hand and other payment documents grew by 74 percent to 24.8 billion soums, accrued interest receivable increased by 39 percent to 36.4 billion soums, and fixed assets increased by 44 percent to reach 21.9 billion soums.

The sector's liabilities increased by 72 percent in one year, equaling 223.3 billion soums. A year earlier, this figure was 129.9 billion soums.

The main part of the liabilities, namely 80.0 percent, was accounted for by loans, borrowings, and leasing liabilities payable. Their volume increased by 79 percent, reaching 178.6 billion soums.

Accrued taxes payable increased by 147 percent to 9.3 billion soums, accrued interest payable increased by 59 percent to 7.7 billion soums, and other liabilities increased by 27 percent to 27.7 billion soums.

The total equity of pawnshops amounted to 714.5 billion soums. This figure increased by 44 percent from 495.8 billion soums. Authorized capital increased by 44 percent to 225.3 billion soums, retained earnings increased by 57 percent to 306.4 billion soums, current year profit increased by 28 percent to 166.4 billion soums, and reserve capital increased by 23 percent to reach 16.3 billion soums.

As of the reporting date, a total of 90 pawnshops were operating in the republic. A year earlier, their number was 92.

In terms of asset volume, "Xurma lombard" leads the sector with 165,056.4 million soums. Its assets increased by 163 percent. The next positions are held by "Xashamatli Chinor" — 65,027.7 million soums (63 percent growth), "Chinara biznes kredit" — 57,432.5 million soums (61 percent growth), "Maksimum" — 43,841.6 million soums (65 percent growth), "Stolichniy kredit" — 37,937.9 million soums (39 percent growth), "Zoloto" — 31,135.2 million soums (3.4-fold growth), and "Xamkor-kredit" — 33,709.4 million soums (42 percent growth).

The assets of "Zoloto" increased from 9,212.5 million soums to 31,135.2 million soums, showing a 238 percent growth. Also, the assets of "Klassik lombard" rose from 1,015.7 million soums to 3,364.7 million soums, increasing 3.3 times.

The assets of "Kredit fleks" rose from 6,254.2 million soums to 12,668.2 million soums, growing by 103 percent. In "Mandarin", this figure increased from 1,932.2 million soums to 3,564.9 million soums, i.e., by 84 percent. The assets of "Afina finans" rose from 8,163.2 million soums to 14,320.4 million soums, growing by 75 percent.

The assets of "Davr lombard" increased from 1,049.8 million soums to 1,785.3 million soums, growing by 70 percent. In this, the volume of net loans increased 14.3 times — from 81.5 million soums to 1,166.8 million soums. Meanwhile, the assets of "Aslaxa-18" increased from 675.3 million soums to 1,121.8 million soums, growing by 66 percent.

The assets of "Sarmoya-madad" decreased by 11 percent to 6,437.6 million soums, "Bilol daroma" decreased by 28 percent to 2,680.2 million soums, "Kibray-kredit" decreased by 23 percent to 2,486.7 million soums, "Oktepa kapital" decreased by 25 percent to 1,688.0 million soums, and "Yangiyul ishonch kredit" decreased by 13 percent to 2,925.7 million soums.

In terms of total equity, "Xurma lombard" leads with 63,121.5 million soums (140 percent growth), followed by "Xashamatli Chinor" — 53,459.7 million soums (51 percent growth), "Chinara biznes kredit" — 41,379.9 million soums (44 percent growth), "Stolichniy kredit" — 32,807.4 million soums (42 percent growth), and "Maksimum" — 28,613.9 million soums (71 percent growth).

The authorized capital increased at the highest rate in "Zoloto". Its authorized capital rose from 500.0 million soums to 37,100.0 million soums, increasing 74 times. In "Klassik lombard", the authorized capital increased from 700.0 million soums to 2,000.0 million soums, growing by 186 percent.

As a result of grouping organizations by equity size, the share of pawnshops with equity of more than 3 billion soums in the sector's total equity increased from 88.3 percent to 91.8 percent. The number of such organizations increased from 45 to 50. Meanwhile, the share of organizations with equity of up to 1 billion soums remained almost unchanged, accounting for approximately 1.0 percent.

The largest volume of liabilities was recorded in "Xurma lombard" — 101,934.9 million soums (208 percent growth). It was followed by "Chinara biznes kredit" — 16,052.6 million soums (169 percent growth), "Maksimum" — 15,227.6 million soums (60 percent growth), and "Xashamatli Chinor" — 11,568.0 million soums (217 percent growth).

The total volume of borrowed funds attracted by the sector from banks amounted to 25,150.9 million soums. A year earlier, this figure was 21,055.0 million soums. The growth constituted 19 percent.

The highest growth in borrowed funds from banks was recorded in "Mandarin" — from 250.9 million soums to 876.7 million soums, i.e., 3.5 times. In "Golden-kredit", these funds increased from 1,044.0 million soums to 1,577.2 million soums, growing by 51 percent.

Out of the 90 operating pawnshops, 68 have assets of more than 2 billion soums. They account for a total of 914.9 billion soums of the sector's assets, i.e., 97.6 percent.

The assets of 12 organizations with assets from 1 billion soums to 2 billion soums amounted to 18.0 billion soums, while the assets of 8 organizations with assets of up to 1 billion soums amounted to 4.8 billion soums.
