Apple has introduced a new line of smart home accessories, Home Collection, developed in collaboration with LG Electronics and Schneider Electric.

Apple introduced a camera, lock, and thermostat for the smart home
It also includes video surveillance cameras, a smart doorbell, an electronic lock, a thermostat, and temperature sensors.
All devices can be configured via iPhone, as well as controlled using the Home app or Siri.
The main goal of the Home Collection is to make the smart home even simpler and more convenient. All accessories are created in a single minimalist style, support Thread technology for a stable connection, and can work both individually and together. For example, when the last person leaves the house, the system automatically locks the door, turns on the cameras, and adjusts the temperature. Before the homeowner returns, it prepares the room and unlocks the door as they approach.
"Apple Home Collection allows you to choose smart home accessories with peace of mind.
LG was responsible for the video surveillance system. The company developed four devices with a 2.5K image resolution. They can recognize people, pets, cars, and packages. Event recordings are stored in the iCloud+ service for 10 days, and no separate cloud subscription is required for the cameras. If a suitable plan is available, Apple Intelligence automatically describes the events in the video in text format and allows you to find the necessary clips through simple text queries.
This series includes the LG Video Doorbell with two cameras for tracking guests and packages, the Outdoor Floodlight Cam with two spotlights that turn on automatically when motion is detected, as well as the compact Outdoor Cam with color night vision. The Indoor Cam deserves special attention: when one of the household members returns home, its lens can automatically lower to stop recording and rise to monitor the room. The cameras are also equipped with internal memory that allows them to continue recording even if the Wi-Fi connection is lost.
Another novelty is the LG Smart Deadbolt Lock electronic lock. Thanks to Ultra Wideband technology, it detects the owner's approach and automatically unlocks the door if they have a compatible iPhone or Apple Watch with a digital key installed. It also provides for opening by tapping a smartphone or watch, entering a PIN code, and a hidden keyhole for a regular key. The lock logs door openings and tampering attempts, and guests can be given temporary access through the Home app.
