Animals are now subject to mandatory registration
The Law "On Identification, Registration and Tracking of Animals" came into force in Uzbekistan on August 7. According to the document, animals kept or bred by individuals and legal entities must be identified and registered in a mandatory manner.
A mandatory animal registration procedure is being introduced.
According to the new legislation, cattle, sheep, goats and camels must be identified within 14 days after birth, horses after 4 months, pigs after 1 month, and dogs and cats after 3 months. Animals must be registered within one month after the expiration of these periods.
Animals imported into Uzbekistan for the purpose of keeping or breeding must be identified within 21 days from the date of entry into the country.
The law also stipulates that when an animal is slaughtered, killed, killed, destroyed or exported from the country, it must be released from state control within seven days.
Based on the application of the animal owner, a representative of an authorized state body must identify and register the animal within five working days. This law is aimed at ensuring the maintenance of animal records and tracking their movements through a unified system.
