Additional admissions will be held to fill vacant places at universities

Applicants who scored the minimum score in the entrance exams but were not recommended for admission will be given the opportunity to participate in an additional selection for vacant positions at the university. They will be accepted to vacant positions on a basic paid contract basis based on the rating.

An additional admission process will be organized for vacant places in higher education institutions.

Amendments and additions have been made to the Government Resolution No. 578 “On approval of regulatory legal acts regulating the admission processes to higher education institutions”.

According to this new regulation, applicants who participated in the entrance exams and scored the minimum score, but were not recommended for admission, will have the opportunity to participate in the competition for vacant educational areas.

Within a week after the announcement of the exam results, applicants will be given a one-week period to register for vacant areas that match the set of subjects and language of instruction.

Admission to vacant places will be carried out strictly based on the sequence of points scored by applicants, that is, their rating. Those recommended for admission will be admitted to study on a basic fee-based contract basis.

The records formed by the Agency for the Assessment of Knowledge and Qualifications serve as the basis for issuing relevant orders for admission to higher education institutions.

Amendments have also been made to paragraph 74 of the Admission Procedure, and the authority to make certain decisions that previously fell within the competence of the State Commission has now been transferred to the rector or director of the higher education institution.
