A Telegram bot for complaints about illegal construction has launched in Uzbekistan.

The Prosecutor General's Office of Uzbekistan has launched a Telegram bot designed to receive citizen reports of illegal construction. Residents can use this tool to report construction near residential buildings, on playgrounds, sports fields, green areas, and other public spaces.

Tashkent residents can use the bot @noqonuniy_qurilish_bot to file complaints. The Prosecutor General's Office emphasized that the launch of the service is aimed at preserving the capital's architectural appearance and strengthening public oversight.

The office called on citizens to take a proactive stance and report all unauthorized construction.

Previously, plans were announced to increase penalties for construction that does not comply with the general plan, master plan, or approved design, as well as for constructing buildings that exceed established standards. The corresponding bill has already passed its first reading in the Legislative Chamber.
