An "unexpected find" in a package of baby juice helped law enforcement uncover a large shipment of narcotics.

A package of baby juice became the key

for customs officers to discovering a significant shipment of drugs: law enforcement officers seized more than three kilograms of heroin, mephedrone, marijuana, and other prohibited substances. The suspected owner of the shipment was detained as part of the investigation.

Officers from the anti-smuggling department of the Tashkent-Aero specialized customs complex conducted an operation on August 3. Law enforcement officers stopped a car driven by a man previously under surveillance.

During a search of the vehicle, conducted in the presence of witnesses, a package of baby juice was discovered. Inside were 20 packages of narcotics, weighing a total of approximately 11 grams.

To determine the source of the prohibited substances, officers searched the suspect's home. It was there that the bulk of the shipment—3.15 kilograms of various drugs, including heroin, mephedrone, and marijuana, as well as other plant-based and synthetic substances—was found.

Detectives continued their investigation and detained the suspected owner of the drugs, a citizen of Uzbekistan. Customs authorities have opened a criminal case for drug trafficking, and an investigation is underway.

Earlier, Tashkent Aero officers detained two passengers arriving in Tashkent from Bangkok. Nearly seven kilograms of mephedrone were found in their luggage, in wine bottles.
