A scammer promising work in Korea was detained in Angren.

A man was detained in Angren while accepting $5,900 for promising to employ an Uzbek citizen in South Korea.

A man suspected of defrauding an Uzbek citizen with promises of employment in South Korea has been arrested in Angren. He was detained while receiving $5,900, according to the press service of the Department of the Prosecutor General's Office.

According to the department, the suspect, N. M., gained the trust of citizen H. A. by promising to assist him in finding employment in South Korea, citing his connections with high-ranking acquaintances.

N. M. was caught red-handed while receiving the money.

A criminal case has been opened for this incident under Article 168 of the Criminal Code (fraud), as well as Articles 211 and 28 (types of accomplices to a crime involving bribery).

The criminal investigation is ongoing.
