The railway station in Törtkul has reopened after reconstruction, featuring a new waiting room, VIP lounge, Wi-Fi, and an electronic information board.
On the eve of Uzbekistan's 35th anniversary of independence, the grand opening of the renovated railway station took place in Törtkul. According to the press service of JSC "O'ztemiryo'lyo'lovchi," following a large-scale renovation, passengers now have access to modern amenities, including a new waiting room, an electronic train information board, and free Wi-Fi.
The Törtkul railway station, built in 2001, underwent a complete modernization in 2026. During the renovation, both the interior and exterior of the building were updated, and a modern waiting room with new seats was installed.
For the convenience of passengers, an electronic information board was installed, providing up-to-date information on train schedules and movements. Free Wi-Fi is also available throughout the station.
For the first time, the station has a modern VIP lounge, designed for passengers waiting for departures and offering an enhanced level of service.
During the renovation, special attention was paid to creating comfortable conditions for passengers with disabilities and limited mobility. For convenient luggage transportation, the station is equipped with special trolleys.
The improvement work also extended to the surrounding area: it was landscaped, and the station grounds now house retail outlets, an ATM, communication centers, and office services.
Today, the Tortkul Station is a key element of the Republic of Karakalpakstan's railway infrastructure, serving 150 to 200 passengers daily. On average, four passenger trains pass through the station per day.
After the reconstruction, the station is expected to offer passengers a more modern, safe, and comfortable service.
