A nurse was killed in a knife attack in a maternity ward in the Fergana region

A nurse has died as a result of a knife attack in a maternity ward in the Fergana Region.

An attack on medical staff was committed in the maternity ward of the Kushtepa District of the Fergana Region. As a result, one nurse died on the spot from stab wounds, while a second is under medical supervision.

According to Kun.uz, the tragedy occurred on September 7 right at the medical workers' workplace. According to preliminary data, the female attacker locked two nurses in one of the ward's rooms, after which she stabbed them. The reasons and motives for this brutal act are still unknown.

The district prosecutor's office has already initiated a criminal case under Article 97 of the Criminal Code of Uzbekistan ("Intentional homicide").
