New stadium for 30,000 spectators opens in Dushanbe

On August 21, the new National Stadium was launched in Dushanbe, the capital of Tajikistan. The opening ceremony was attended by Tajik President Emomali Rahmon and Dushanbe Mayor Rustami Emomali.

The sports complex covers an area of 9.5 hectares and can accommodate more than 30,000 spectators. The two-tiered stands can accommodate more than 12,000 people on the lower floor and 18,000 on the upper floor.

The National Stadium was built in accordance with FIFA international requirements and belongs to the second international category. It can host high-level club matches and international competitions. The stadium consists of five floors and a basement, and its height reaches 33 meters.

In the center of the arena is a football field measuring 105x68 meters, which meets FIFA requirements for holding international matches. There is a sports area measuring 130x87 meters around the field.

68 electronic turnstiles have been installed for spectators, and the stadium territory is divided into four main sectors. This arrangement should ensure the safe passage of fans, prevent crowding and speed up evacuation.

The games will be broadcast on two large LED screens, each with an area of 133 square meters. The security of the facility is monitored by 50 video surveillance cameras and 10 regular cameras. The fire protection system consists of more than 1,000 intelligent fire alarms.

Four dressing rooms with 104 seats each are provided for teams. VIP halls with a total capacity of more than 750 people are equipped for official and honorary guests.

The facade of the stadium is made of aluminum panels. At night, it can be used as a large media projection screen: the area of the projection system exceeds 30 thousand square meters.

A parking lot for more than 750 cars has been organized near the stadium. The landscaped area occupies an area of more than 3 thousand square meters.

Emomali Rahmon called the opening of the National Stadium, dedicated to the 35th anniversary of Tajikistan's state independence, a worthy gift to the country.

The new stadium is not intended only for football matches. It is planned to hold international competitions, large-scale ceremonies, shows and other cultural and entertainment events on its territory.
